The lead inspector for our company, Derek Sternaman, has been a home inspector for over twenty years.  Derek started in the construction industry and has built numerous custom homes.   He has also been directly involved with rehab work, in and around the St. Louis area.  This has given him a great insight into inspection work on newer and older homes.
